In the Stephen Ministry, volunteers minister to individuals in a one-on-one relationship, helping to equip them in crisis situations by touching them with the Good News of Jesus Christ in Word and Deed. You are encouraged to consider serving if you have good listening skills and can bring the love of Jesus to someone in a confidential relationship. Time commitment: 50 hours of training (25 2-hour sessions). After the training there are 2 meetings a month, plus spending 2 to 4 hours a month with the care receiver.
